Tapestry

As an interior decorator, I have been hired to redecorate various homes. I usually notice that walls are most often neglected and left bare. There are so many things to do with a bare wall.

I usually use of art tapestries to liven up a wall. Just a simple tapestry can make a significant difference. My clients are amazed at what a wall tapestry can do. I tell them it’s just a matter of knowing what will work best.

It is refreshing to come home to a loving wife and adorable kids. My wife makes sure our home is warm, cozy, and well-kept. She also makes it a point to choose furniture and home-accent pieces that compliment each other.

She did the home decor herself. I am very impressed with her taste in design. I feel so blessed to have her!

The general purpose for decorative accent pillows is to ‘accent’ some aspect of home decor. These pillows, which vary in size and shape, are meant to draw attention to the area they are placed in. Some common places for accent pillows include; chairs, couches, window benches, floors, beds and shelves. Many times these pillows are as functional as they are decorative.

These pillows are available in a variety of different colors and styles. Some may be hand embroidered and homemade, while others might be modern with geometrical designs. Contemporary, European, country, cartoon and novelty designs are some other styles of decorative throw pillows. Looking for a new place to ‘throw’ a decorative pillow? Try putting a couple on the floor so your pet can rest in style, or place one on the front porch rocking chair.

Today people want to be unique, they want to be noticed, and they want to be cutting edge. The ways people decorate their houses and apartments reflects on who they are. Someone who has a bare home devoid of personalized décor could be perceived by others as trying to hide something. Another person, with garish and tacky décor may be a bit obnoxious. People may not want to admit that their taste and style influence other people’s perceptions, but they should–because sooner or later those bad decorating choices are going to come back to haunt them.

Art tapestries may seem old-fashioned to modern art collectors, but with the advent of “shabby chic” style they are more popular than ever. There are many choices when it comes to art tapestries. Many tapestries are imprinted with classic artwork, and others are weaved with unique, one-of-a-kind designs. Tapestries can come in a variety of different colors, sizes and shapes. For example, parents may choose to decorate a new baby’s room with a large baby duck tapestry. A bachelor may choose to decorate his apartment with the classic dogs playing billiards tapestry.
